Competition Entry and Withdrawal Procedure For The Admirals Club
The weekend competition tee-times will be available for booking either on-line or through the Pro-Shop from 6pm on the Saturday 4 weeks in advance of the weekend concerned. Competitors are able to book up to 4 names in a tee slot.
Where there is a Ladies Competition, Ladies will have an equal opportunity of securing a tee time.
The ratio of competition to social slots will be decided in consultation with the Director of Golf.
Responsibility for Competition Fees.
Players using this facility to book competition tee times in advance will be deemed to be responsible for the competition fee, subject to the cancellation policy set out below.
Cancellations
It will be a condition of every competition that:
Cancellations will be permitted up to 18.00 on Thursday for Saturday competitions, up to 18.00 on Friday for Sunday competitions without penalty
Members who withdraw from a competition after the times stated above but who are able to find a player to take over their competition time and who take responsibility for the competition fee (if entered), will be able to do so without penalty.
Members who withdraw from a competition after the times stated above and are unable to find a player to take over their competition time, will be liable for the competition fee. Players not paying the competition fee within 4 weeks will automatically be barred from further competitions until the outstanding fee has been paid
Members who do not show up for their competition tee time and have not previously given notice to the professional’s shop, will be automatically banned from entering competitions for a period of 7 days. In addition, they will be liable for the competition fee.
The ban will start 4 weeks after the “no show” unless an appeal has been lodged in writing
Responsibility for administering “no shows” and for posting a list of “no shows” will be with the Pro staff.
Players will have the opportunity to appeal, in writing, to the competition committee within 14 days of the “no show”, and any sanction against the player will be suspended until a decision has been made by the Competition Committee
In addition to the seven day ban for a “no show”, players not paying the outstanding competition fee within the 4 weeks will automatically be barred from further competitions until the outstanding fee has been paid.
In the event of Course Closure:
If the course is closed by the company, then no player will be liable for any fee or suspension.
i.e. 1. Flooded greens where there is no access to the hole caused by standing water either at the start or during play
2. Where the course becomes unplayable due to snowfall.
3. Thick fog.
If any of the above conditions apply, the competition may be cancelled or suspended and any fees paid credited. The decision of the Committee will be final.
In the event of “inclement weather”
Members who are present in the clubhouse, but who do not wish to go out in extreme inclement weather where 1,2 & 3 above do not apply may apply to a Member of the Committee to have their liability for the Competition entry fee and possible suspension waived. The Committee may waive the competition entry fee and suspension in conditions of inclement weather without suspending or canceling the competition of the day. The decision of the Committee will be final.
The decision to cancel the competition rests with any members of the Committee present on the day.
In the absence of any members of the Committee the decision to cancel can be taken by the Director of Golf or a nominated member of staff.

Social Tees
Any tee-times not filled will become available for social play on the Saturday 2 weeks in advance of the weekend concerned. Competition entry will not be allowed from these slots.
Players booking within nine days of a competition can play in any competition of the day or socially at their discretion.
