CAPTAINS DRIVE IN 2010
Richard Hardy and Kathy Hill ‘Drive off’ to celebrate the start of his new year as
20010 Commanders Golf Club Captain, Oakmere Park.
2010 COMMANDERS CAPTAINS DRIVE IN AT OAKMERE PARK
On Sunday 3rd January at a sunny but wintry Commanders Course, Richard
Hardy, Captain of the Commanders Club for 2010 hit the official Captains
Drive to open the New Years events. Richard was joined by the Commanders
Ladies Captain, Kathy Hill and over 20 stalwart supporters despite the weather. Both Richard and Kathy hit good solid drives to within a foot of each other just off the left of the fairway at 223 and 150 yards
respectively! Richard is looking forward to a bumper year in fundraising to
support his chosen Charity, which is Dove Cottage Day Hospice near
Plungar
in the Vale of Belvoir. Sweepstakes where held on the distance and
direction
of the Captains Drives to kick-off the fundraising effort for this year
and
raised the fantastic sum of £81.
